Anonymization of Personal Information

To ensure privacy protection, we have implemented an anonymization feature that automatically redacts personal identifiable information (PII) from user messages and file attachments before sending them to any third-party, such as OpenAI and Google Gemini API. What users see: John Doe. What AI see: {{PERSON-1}}. This helps prevent accidental exposure of sensitive data.

The feature removes the following types of PII:

  • Names
  • Email addresses
  • Addresses/Postal codes (US, GB, CA)
  • Username and password combinations
  • Skype/twitter usernames
  • Credit card numbers
  • Dates of birth
  • Phone numbers
  • SIN numbers (CA)
  • Tax numbers (GB)
  • Driving licence numbers (GB)
  • Personal healthcare numbers (CA)
  • Social security numbers (US and GB national insurance numbers)

Data Protection and Privacy

  • Your personal information is protected according to our Privacy Notice and third-party agreements
  • We do not use your data to train our AI systems

  • Withdrawing consent won't affect any processing that already happened
  • We may continue processing your data if we have other legal grounds to do so

  • You can request account termination
  • After account termination, we may keep some information to prevent fraud, handle investigations, enforce our terms, or comply with laws

Cookies:

  • Browsers typically accept cookies by default

Note: We'll handle all requests according to applicable data protection laws.

  1. How do we handle Do-Not-Track (DNT) requests?

We currently don't respond to Do-Not-Track (DNT) signals from web browsers, mobile operating systems, or mobile apps. This is because there isn't yet a standardized way to implement DNT technology across the industry. If an official standard is created that we must follow, we'll update this policy to explain how we comply.

For California residents: As required by state law, we inform you that we don't currently honor DNT signals from web browsers since there is no established industry or legal standard for doing so.
